Substitute Pay
Substitute Pay Information
Substitutes are paid only for assignments recorded in the Absence Management system. It is your responsibility to review your accepted jobs in Absence Management before the first of each month to ensure accuracy. If you notice any discrepancies, please contact the school where the job took place directly.

Substitutes are paid on the 15th of each month for all assignments worked in the previous calendar month.
Example: Assignments worked in January will be paid on February 15th.
If you work 10 consecutive days following the schedule of the same employee, you may be eligible for long-term substitute pay.
-
“Consecutive” is based on the employee’s normal work schedule.
-
On the 10th day, your pay will adjust to the long-term rate and be retroactively applied starting from day one.
Pay rates are determined by the position of the employee you are substituting for:
-
Certified Employee = Certified Substitute Pay
-
Classified Employee = Classified Substitute Pay
